#ModernSlaveryMondays

New initiative launched to help Christians reflect and respond to Modern Slavery.

TCT's Modern Slavery Campaigner, with Lichfield Diocese Mothers' Union and the Clewer Initiative has today launched #ModernSlaveryMondays.

As part of TCT's response to Covid 19, Debbie wanted to ensure that the vital work to raise awareness of the evil that is Modern Slavery is not lost during lockdown.

Debbie is currently developing a number of online resources for raising awareness of Modern Slavery, suitable for a wide range of audiances.

The first is based on her Christian faith, helping people see tackling Modern Slavery as part of their everyday faith journey.

Debbie explains:

"Even though we are hidden in our homes modern slavery continues to be hidden in plain sight and at this unusual time the plight of those enslaved remains the same, Gods mission remains unchanged ‘we are to set the captives free’ and we want to continue to highlight this and encourage one another that together what ever circumstance we find ourselves in we can change the narrative from one of indifference to making a difference"

Every Monday, Debbie is going to produce a short video to sharing information on Modern Slavery. Today’s is about Prayer. We are using the #ModernSlaveryMondays for this.

You can see the first video below. Future videos will be share on our Modern Slavery Campaigner page.
