16 days of action against gender-based violence campaign begins TODAY
The 25 November, marks the launch of 16 days of action against Domestic Violence.
In support of this national campaign, the Safer Walsall partnership is asking people in the borough to come together, in their communities, workplaces, schools and at home and say ‘no’ to domestic violence. Places of worship and local organisations are being asked to light a candle on the 10 December and people are invited to wear an orange ribbon to raise awareness of the campaign.

2021 marks the 30th anniversary of the Global 16 Days Campaign. Inspired by the original vision and history of the Campaign, which focused on raising awareness about violence against women (VAW), and considering the continuing impunity for femicide, this year the Campaign will focus on the issue of “femicide or the gender-related killing of women.”
