Difficult times

In these difficult times, we feel it’s vital to work together and share the hope we have.

We’ve created #peopleofhope alongside:

  • Diocese of Lichfield
  • CUF Together Network
  • Wellsprings Together

The idea is to use the hashtag to regularly share stories of the great work that individuals, churches and other groups are doing to support others in the community.

We’ll also share top tips and resources.

You can follow and join in, using #peopleofhope on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.

New partners include:

* Places of Welcome

* Near Neighbours

Our early #peopleofhope thinking - 21st December 2019

Reflecting Back

We’ve been reflecting back to the end of 2019, when we were thinking and praying about what 2020 had in store for us.

As a staff team, the theme of being #peopleofhope in a troubled and unequal world really resonated with us all.

Fast forward to the present, and this theme is even more relevant!

This is our original post from December 21st 2019, posted via Instagram

• @impactpoverty As we reflect on 2019 and look forward to 2020, we pledge to redouble our efforts to be #peopleofhope. Where there is so much discord, Poverty, injustice and inequality, we need #hope more than anything else: “Hope has two beautiful daughters; their names are Anger and Courage. Anger at the way things are, and Courage to see that they do not remain as they are.” St Augustine

Take some times out today (just a few minutes) to reflect on the week and what you are grateful for. We would love to hear them below in the comments. #peopleofhope
