#WorkingTogether - Videos of our impact

We're producing a series of videos called #WorkingTogether, which highlights the impact some of some of our partnership working

Helping people be heard and impact their community

After running 'Real People Honest Talk' commmunity listening in four areas across Wolverhampton, we gathered together in December 2019 to hear what is important to communities and how they are working together to find solutions.

We were privileged to be joined by MP's, Civic leaders and senior Police as well, for them to get a greater understanding of issues that are important to the communities they serve.

Helping fund community work

Our Black Country Near Neighbours team partner with Near Neighbours to provide grants to local groups to help them bring people together. This can have a massive difference, as we found out when we caught up recently with Wolverhampton based group BME Housing Consortium, who were running a project called ‘This is me!’

Partnering with Civic Society

In September 2019, we partnered with the West Midlands Combined Authority and Black Country Churches Engaged to create an event that celebrated the work churches and other faith groups do to support their neighbour and change communities.

It also allowed the Mayor of the West Midlands - Andy Street and his team to hear first hand the ideas communities have to tackle some of the big issues of our time - Homelessness, Mental Health and Skills and Youth Unemployment.
