We are creating a movement for financial inclusion in the Black Country

Times are hard for people and many in our communities are experiencing financial distress, particularly those on low incomes. We are creating a movement for financial inclusion in the Black Country, partnering with the Just Finance Foundation nationally.

We organise sessions to teach people about budgeting and money management, and to help build their financial confidence.

We also organise events, do policy influencing work and campaigns with local partners.

We run the Cash Smart Credit Savvy programme across the Black Country

It was designed by our team and covers five key themes:

  1. Savvy Shopping
  2. Building a Budget
  3. Credit and Loans
  4. Debt
  5. Savings

We also produced the UCSavvy resource to support people in navigating the complexities of welfare changes.

If a person gets his attitude toward money straight, it will help straighten out almost every other area in his life.
